Teachers and school personnel at Colegio Christiano El Salvador School met the challenge of preparing their school for a new year with very limited funds, but with excitement in their hearts! A BBI Educational team came to work with the teachers, to present In-Service Training and to give inspiration to these dedicated teachers. Many will remember that we first met Rosa in a barrio on Nogales, Mexico when she was eight years old. An accident had left her blind in the right eye, and astigmatism in the other eye rendered her unable to see well enough to attend school. Guadalupe, her mother, brought Rosa to our team, seeking medical care for her eyes.
Rosa Maria Cruz completed the school term at Evangelistic Temple School, her second year at the school. She is doing so well! We celebrated Rosa's twelfth birthday on May 14...dinner at Los Cabos on the Riverwalk and shopping at Kohl's! It was a time of fun and rejoicing. Pastors John Peña, Tommy McLaurin, Chris Harrison and Sergio Castro were joined by missionary Hugh Hoyle, and together with Jerry Morris, they presented a pastors' conference in Barranquilla, Colombia. BBI sent money to six ministries in Latin America to provide Christmas treats for children in poor barrios. In January a BBI team took the message of God's love, along with food, clothing, and school supplies to several remote villages in Honduras. In El Salvador, the team participated in the ministry of IPHC pastors Francisco and Glenda Oliva, and brought timely financial support. Help is needed for airfare, food, and incidental expenses while Anthony and Frank Oroche are in Oklahoma. "Excellence in everything, and everything for the glory of God" Her name is Rosiris. She contacted me on FaceBook on November 5. Ten years had passed since I heard from her. Rosiris' conversion in 1997 had been dramatic. Martha Munoz and Deisy Vega, School administrators with Colegio Cristiano El Salvador Christian School in Barranquilla, Colombia, visit Oklahoma. A Ministry of Restoration: Rebuilding the home of Jose and Maria Herrera BBI Construction team to the remote Honduran village of Nuevo San Francisco; Medical, Construction and Evangelistic team to Tegucigalpa, Honduras; A Christian School for Juanjui, Peru.
